Dr. Justin A. Smith is a dedicated equine sports medicine veterinarian with a strong focus on lameness, injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of sport horses. With a deep passion for enhancing the performance and well-being of horses, along with the rider-horse bond.

A proud graduate of the University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Smith served as the President of the student chapter of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP). He is also an FEI Permitted Treating Veterinarian (FEI PTV), offering elite care to top athletes in the equestrian world. His career has taken him to various equine hubs, including Wellington, FL, Oldwick, NJ, and Madison, WI, where he has had the opportunity to work with a wide range of performance horses.

Originally from Tucson, Arizona area, Dr. Smith's roots in the Southwest continue to influence his life outside of veterinary medicine. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys hiking, exploring, and spending quality time with his partner and two dogs, Sven and Clyde. An avid equestrian, he rides and train in Eventing and Show Jumping with his 5-year-old horse, Elio.

With a strong commitment to excellence in equine care, Dr. Smith is dedicated to improving the health and performance of every horse he treats, helping them achieve their full potential. He is planning on pursuing a residency to become Board Certified Veterinary Sport Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist.
