Internship Philosophy
Our goal is to provide new veterinarians with a supportive, hands-on learning environment that builds clinical confidence, practical skills, and real-world experience in ambulatory equine practice.
Equipment & Treatment Modalities
Interns train with advanced diagnostic and therapeutic tools, including:
Digital radiography & ultrasound
1m & 3m video endoscopy
Regenerative therapies (PRP, IRAP, ProStride, Alpha2EQ)
Laser therapy, acupuncture & shockwave

DVM degree
NAVLE completion
California license or eligibility

Practice & Caseload
8–10 total staff (veterinarians, technicians & support)
~5,000 ambulatory cases annually
Primary focus: sports medicine & lameness
Secondary exposure: general care & emergencies
Typical Schedule
Interns work five days per week with two full days off. Saturday and emergency coverage rotate alongside an attending associate.
The day typically begins at 8:30 a.m., with end times varying based on caseload.
