Ronan Buckley
Ronan was born and raised in San Francisco. At age 12, Ronan found his passion for horses from his uncle in Ireland, who was the head huntsman for the Duhallow Hunt Club.
During his high school years, Ronan continue his love for animals as a volunteered at the S.F. SPCA and competed on the Stanford/Woodside Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) team. Ronan recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Equine Studies and a minor in Business Management from Centenary University in New Jersey. His senior thesis analyzed the process of sport horse cloning and ways to enhance sport horse genetics.
While in college, he was a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) where he competed on their national equitation team in Harrisburg Pennsylvania (2013), West Springfield Massachusetts (2015), and Lexington Kentucky (2017).
In spring 2016, Ronan took the opportunity to study abroad in Ireland to gain experience with performance sport horses. While working alongside Dr. Bryk-Lucy at Centenary Equine Center Ronan found his career in sport horse medicine.
While not at work, Ronan enjoys rock climbing, surfing on the pacific coast, and biking around the San Francisco hills.
