How Does Laser Therapy Work?
Bayhill Equine is very excited to announce a new treatment modality being offered by our team! Laser works non-invasively by ‘photo-biomodulation’, or light-induced photochemical reactions similar to such processes as photosynthesis or Vitamin D synthesis. Infrared light is emitted at doses pre-programmed to specific conditions, which then accelerates the cell’s natural healing process.
What Can Laser Therapy Treat?
Some examples where laser is beneficial to our equine patients include… wounds, back pain, arthritis, various skin conditions, tendon and ligament injuries, or any other musculoskeletal disorder. Laser therapy decreases pain, decreases inflammation, and accelerates healing.
