Sofia was born and raised in Northern California living in Napa Valley before she moved to Southern California to attend UC Santa Barbara. While in college Sofia worked for Hearts Therapeutic Equestrian Center as an assistant to their Equine and Facilities Manager. In Santa Barbara, she rediscovered her passion for working with horses and found a love for competing in Ranch Sorting and Penning. 

After graduating in 2022, she moved back north and now lives in Mountain View with her husband, Anton, and their pup Bear, an Australian Shepherd/Bully rescue. In their spare time, Sofia and Anton enjoy exploring the area for local hikes and camping spots, tending to their beehives and garden, and taking a drive to visit their families in Napa.
